Birthday fun!

“The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate” Oprah Winfrey

Well this week was my birthday. It also coincided with my boyfriend’s restaurant opening in Liverpool. This of course meant an opportunity for 3 of my favourite things… clothes, shopping and eating!

I started my day by going to Liverpool city centre to shop. Something I haven’t done in absolutely ages! But it was a necessity. Since losing weight all my bras are too loose and so have been giving me no support whatsoever.

This outfits underpinnings are a case in point! The bra just about fit properly on the tightest hook. However, I didn’t realise until halfway through the day that the knickers are now so big they fall down! Some very ladylike wiggling on the escalators and a toilet in Debenhams meant that dignity stayed intact! Anyway I’m now a 30F and size 10 bottoms….thank God for my birthday £10 discount in Boux Avenue!

A quick hot chocolate and mooch around Primark meant I had a couple of more purchases that I got to put to good use when I got home….

How cool are those slippers?! They’re the softest and warmest things ever! My feet always feel the cold so theese are a blessing for me. And although £8 they’re priceless to me for that reason! The pyjamas are a nice soft cotton and only £6! I know Dita Von Teese is all satin but I just gotta have cotton to not boil in bed! But as long as they’re nice that has got to be a good compromise?

This lead to getting ready for a dinner at the new restaurant with my parents. I went wild and had a glass of wine while getting ready and by some minor miracle got my eyeliner right first time!

The restaurant itself was lovely. Beautifully done up and the food was gorgeous. It’s called Figo’s and is located in Crosby on the South Road by Waterloo station. Well worth the drive over the water!

All in all it was a quiet and relaxed day which made it perfect. I was particularly surprised at how restrained my shopping has gotten. In previous years I’d have gone mental and bought absolutely everything in Liverpool! So I guess that’s a sign of maturity right?!

It was a long day though!
